Best Chili I Ever Ate

I set out to make a batch of Chili one day and landed the best Chili I've ever eaten, so here is the recipe for you, and for me later when I take a break from it and try to make it again.

Ingredients: 1 gallon can Bushs Chili beans
29oz can high quality tomato sauce
2 lb Ground Turkey (I imagine it would also be fantastic with beef, I didn't try)
2 packets McCormick Original Chili Seasoning
1 packet McCormick Hot Chili Seasoning
1 nice Yellow Onion

Dice up your onion. I ended up using only about 3/4 of this one.

About 1/3 will go in the pot with the beans, 2/3 will go in the skillet with the meat.

Brown the turkey meat, lightly salted all the way, then toss in about 2/3 of the chopped onion and sprinkle one of the Original seasoning packets on it. Add a glass of water and stir this all in, leave it on about medium heat.

It will start to look like this, let it simmer about 15 minutes, you want the onions to start to lose that crispy, but not go soggy either.

In the pot, put in the beans, the tomato sauce and the onions, stir it up.

One at a time add the remaining two packets of McCormick seasoning and stir them in.

After both pots have had about 15 minutes to heat up, dump the meat in the bean pot, stir it in.

If it's already hot, you are ready to go. Otherwise let it sit and heat up a while. If you try it, let me know what you think of it.
