I have a laptop that has run a nearly full hard drive since we got it. Prices are down so I got a 320gig drive to put in. Ideally I'd roll the current drive up to a disk, swap drives and then roll the image back out on the new drive. Up and running in a couple hours..
The industry standard way to do that is with Norton Ghost. I have NG 6.5, so let's try that... but wait.. it wants so create bootable floppies... Maybe there is a 30 day trial of NG 15.0 that's out... Why, yes there is, let's try that..

What if I didn't download the Symantex Recovery Disk? It turns out that if you buy NG 15.0, you get an email with a link to this download. Via gooogle, there are some links to dinks as I call it... people with pages claiming to have it, but they are just looking for overflow ad traffic... far as I could find it's not out there to be had.
Maybe this... will do it...
Well... this isn't a 30 day trial afterall.. this is a 0 day trial. Norton... I hate you and you are fired.. get off of my hard drive as fast as you were booted out of my antivirus life! Good Riddens!!
