Cooooookies... Mmmmm

March 28, 2007

First a little drywall.  This is how it was before they came back and sanded it for the last time.

This is the cubby hole beneath the computer desk.  There will be UPS and/or power strips down here.  The cords plug in to the UPS/Power Strips.

This was our only 'complaint' of the job.  It's irrelevant since the base trim covers this.  If you ever have this problem when installing base trim, just take a hammer and flatten this out so the base trim is not 'popped out'.  Then, when you put on the base trim, you'll never know this is a mess.

Once those cords are plugged in to the UPS/Power strip, the 9 electric outlets on the bottom row will be 'live' and 'uninterruptible' or at least spike protected.

Now, on to the cookies.

We start with wheat that was taken right off the top of the combine summer 2006 south of Joplin Montana.  It's never had 'bug dope', never been stored, washed or otherwise messed with.  I stuck the ziplock bag in the freezer until today when I'm making cookies.  It needs sorted out.

This is how you grind it into flour.

This is flour once it is ground up.  Notice how it's not pure white like the flour you get in the store?

This is why we sort the wheat.  Did I mention that this wheat is scooped right out of the combine, not in any other way altered?  Very natural...  Can you guess what this is?  It's a head off a grasshopper.  Don't think for a minute that Medal Gold gets these sorted out when they grind that white bag of flour you have in your cupboard.

Some of the other stuff I took out.

And, our gorgeous assistant mixes the dough.

Nestle chips...

Pre-baked...

Post baked...   enjoy!
